Born in Chicago, IL, and grew up in the northwest suburb of Hanover Park, IL. Al graduated from Hoffman Estates High School and attended Loras College in Dubuque, IA, where he received his B.A. in Secondary Special Education. 


While at Loras Al became interested in Funeral Services as a career after living and working at Egelhoff-Casper-Strueber Funeral Home in Dubuque. He later graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in suburban Chicago, and in 1986 married Beverly Witt of Clinton, IA. While at Worsham, he assisted at Grove Memorial Chapel in Elk Grove, IL, served his apprenticeship at Sax-Tiedeman Funeral Home in Franklin Park, IL. and working at Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, in Park Ridge, IL. before moving to Monmouth in 1991 where he began working for Bill Hoover at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel for the next 21 years.  

In 2009 Al & Bev purchased Warren County Memorial Park and continue to run this family business. 


In addition to working at Warren County Memorial Park, Al keeps involved in several community organizations, including the Monmouth Rotary Club, Knights of Columbus, Immaculate Conception Church, Diving coach for the Monmouth College Swimming and Diving team, and serves on the Board of Directors at  Security Savings Bank, as well as serving on several other civic groups. 


Al also keeps very busy with the various events of his four children and is an avid bicycle rider. He has dedicated his career to providing a high degree of professionalism, compassion, and understanding to the families he is honored to have served.

Trevor is a Monmouth native born and raised here. He graduated from Monmouth High School. He later attended Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois where he earned his Associates of Science Degree. Trevor then attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL, and earned his degree in Mortuary Science. Trevor served his apprenticeship with Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory in Barrington & Crystal Lake, Illinois before returning home. Once returning home Trevor worked in Monmouth at Turnbull Funeral Home for 5 years. 


Trevor and his wife Edith, and their two sons Carson and Parker reside in Monmouth. Trevor is very active in the community, he is the Past Chairman of the Warren County United Way Endowment Committee. Past President of the Warren County United Way, Past President of the Warren County Prime Beef Festival, and served on the festival board.  He currently sits on the Board of Directors at Community National Bank in Monmouth, serves as President of the Monmouth Flying Club, a member of the Monmouth Rotary Club, and Monmouth Evening Lions Club, Chairman of the Monmouth Community Fund Advisory Board, and is an Asst. Scout Master for Boy Scout Troop 60 in Biggsville.  Trevor also serves as a Deputy Coroner for Warren County.  


He and his family attend the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth. He enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and flying in his free time. 


Trevor currently serves as the Vice President for the Illinois Funeral Directors Association.  He served two terms as a Region 2 Director and Secretary/Treasurer for IFDA.  Trevor earned his CFSP designation which is the highest professional designation you can achieve in funeral service awarded by the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, Inc.  He is also recognized by the National Funeral Directors Association as a Certified Crematory Operator since September of 2013.

Carl was born, and raised, and has lived in Monmouth most of his life.  He is a 1969 graduate of Monmouth High School, a 1971 graduate of Carl Sandburg Jr. College, a 1973 graduate of Monmouth College, and a 1976 & 1978 graduate of Western Illinois University.   He had the privilege of of teaching for 35 years for the Monmouth Public School District with 31 years as a 2nd-grade teacher at Willits Elementary School and 4 years at Garfield Elementary School as a kindergarten teacher and administrator.  Following retirement in 2008, Carl has enjoyed traveling and keeping in touch with his former students.

John is a lifelong resident of the Monmouth area.  He attended and graduated Immaculate Conception School, and was a 1957 graduate of Monmouth High School before attending both Monmouth College and Carl Sandburg Jr. College.  John was married to his best friend, Mary Alice (McLoskey) Toal for almost 50 years.  He has two children, Kathleen (Bruce) Lee and John Jr. "Jack" (Amy) Toal both from the Monmouth area.  He has nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  John is retired from the Warren County Housing Authority.
