Winifred J. "Winnie" Knox

Winifred J. "Winnie" Knox, 82, of Galesburg, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

She was born September 27, 1933 in Monmouth, the daughter of Leonard H. and Bertha N. (Cummings) Crosier.

Winnie married John O. Davis, Jr. in 1954, he preceded her in death. She later married A. DuWayne Knox in 1990. He preceded her in death in January of 2014.

Winnie loved chocolate, playing games, watching sports and most of all, laughing and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving her are three children; Cindy (Craig) Hisler of Marshall, MI, Steve (Marti) Davis of Anchorage, AK, and Julie (Tim) Troyer of Angola, IN. Also surviving are two grandsons; Cory and Colt Davis of Michigan, four step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, one sister Mary Lu Butler of Rogers, AR and one brother Bob (Sandy) Crosier of Roseville, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and brother-in-law, John R. Butler.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2016 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Roseville Food Pantry.
