William M. Deen

William M. Deen, age 69, of St. Louis, MO, formerly of Monmouth, passed away on November 16, 2013 in St. Louis, MO.

Bill was born on August 5, 1944 in Monmouth, IL and was the son of Lowell and Mildred (Hook) Deen. He attended Monmouth Public Schools and graduated from Monmouth High School. Bill later graduated from Western Illinois University. He served his country for 6 years in the United States Air Force.Bill worked for several years for Tandem/Compaq/HP as a systems analyst. He was a member of the West Springs Church in Ballwin, MO, and he volunteered with the United Service Organization. He is survived by his son, Brian (Diana) Deen of Muscatine, IA, one granddaughter, Olivia Deen, of Muscatine, IA., and one sister, Karen Squire of Highlands Ranch, CO. Also surviving are two nephews, one niece, and five grandnephews and grandnieces. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother Jon L. Deen. A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held on Dec. 6 at 1:00 p.m. at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Bill's name at West Springs Church, 501 Big Bend Rd., Ballwin MO 63128.
