Wanda M. Colvin, 83, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 11:30 pm, Friday, May 25, 2018 at the Roseville Health Care and Rehab, Roseville, IL.
She was born on June 19, 1934 in Keokuk, Iowa to Dacy Vivian and Wanda Lucille (Dorothy) Evans. She was raised and educated in Keokuk, Iowa.
She married William “Bill” Colvin II on June 7, 1953 in Keokuk; he preceded her in death on October 4, 2009.
Wanda was a homemaker, worked for Addus Health Care for a few years as an in home care taker for the elderly. She enjoyed painting, golfing, making crafts, playing cards and was a member of the Gerlaw Christian Church.
She is survived by her children, “Billy” Colvin III ; Cala Earp both of Monmouth, Illinois; Tammie (David) Snider of Canton, Illinois; Debbie Babb of Galesburg, Illinois; nine grandchildren; Haley Dagen, Jason (Natalie) Earp, Selina (Alex) Baker, Aaron Snider, Tony Snider, Kendall (Bonnie) Snider, Steven (April) Snider, Deana Babb, Scott Harmon, eight great-children; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her two brothers, Harold Evans and Robert “Pug” Evans.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Her children invite you to join them for a Gathering of Family & Friends on Saturday June 2, 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the family home in Monmouth. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice Compasses, Galesburg, Illinois. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
