Victor R. Stotler, 62, of Dallas City, IL, formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 8:19 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Unity Point Health Memorial Hospital, Carthage, IL.
He was born November 13, 1956 in Monmouth, IL, the son of James Andrew and Stella Mae (Cain) Stotler. Victor was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School. He was very proud that later he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.
Victor worked as an industrial painter his whole life; he was the project manager at Allen Blasting & Coating in Weaver, IA the last 13 years. He was a member of the Glory Worship Center, Clayton, IL. Victor loved fishing and being on the Mississippi River. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and golfing. Most of all, Victor loved to spend time with his family.
Surviving Victor is his beloved Shelly and Quinn of Dallas City, IL; daughter, Christina Geise of Quincy, IL; son, James (Jessie) Stotler of Hamilton, IL; five grandchildren, Haley, Kyley, Allison, Caiden, Kendell; and one great grandson, Liam. Also surviving are his sisters, Hazel (John) Solis, Rosemary (Bill) O’Daniel, Judy (Donny) Blakley, Bonnie (Brian) Dixon, Linda McVey, Susie (Dave) Eller, Jeanie Westby; his brothers, John Henry (Sherry) Stotler, Charlie (Lisa) Stotler, Jack Stotler, Al (Ruth) Stotler; and seventy three nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Ike Stotler, Mitchell Stotler, and one sister, Patty Ann Stotler.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 9, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation rites will take place following the gathering. Memorials can be made to the Glory Worship Center, Clayton, IL.
