T. Brian Davies

T. Brian Davies, 51, of Galesburg, IL died at 11:58 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

He was born July 19, 1964 in Monmouth, IL the son of Trevor Glenn and Laura Esther (Bellinger) Davies. He was raised and educated in Little York, graduating from Yorkwood High School in 1982. He later earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts at Carl Sandburg College.

Brian worked at Meling's Restaurant in Monmouth for 10 years and later as a waiter at the Packinghouse in Galesburg for 21 years. He most recently was the manager at Figs Steakhouse in Galesburg.

Brian loved music, reading several newspapers a day, gardening and playing tennis. He was known for his personal handwritten Christmas and Birthday Cards.

Survivors include his parents, Trevor & Laura Davies of Little York, IL; brother, Byron (Sharon) Davies of Davenport, IA; nephew, Matthew Davies of Davenport; special friend, Barbie Allard of Galesburg, IL, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at the Alexis Cemetery. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Western Illinois Animal Rescue .Arrangements are in the care of McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.
