Stephen Michael McKee

Stephen M. McKee, 45, of Oquawka, IL, passed away at 8:09 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2015, at Genesis East Medical Center in Davenport, IA. He was born on October 19, 1970 in Burlington, IA, the son of Michael Glenn and Marilyn Lee (Rastetter) McKee. Steve was raised and educated in Oquawka, and attended Union High School. Steve was a mason at Bi-State Masonry in Rock Island, IL for the last two years. He loved the river, the river was his life. Steve enjoyed fishing, boating, and going to tractor shows with his dad. He loved spending time with his family. Steve is survived by his son Kenneth (Jessica Lynn) McKee, grandson Bryer McKee, parents Mike and Marilyn McKee, one sister Rebecca McKee, one nephew Kody Michael McKee, one great niece Brooklyn McKee, and his dear companion Cathy Williams, all of Oquawka. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. A celebration of Steve’s life will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Walking Eagles Banquet Hall (Former Oquawka Eagles Club). Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Oquawka Ambulance.
