Sherry L. Chick

Sherry L. Chick, 70, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 10:05 am, Friday, October 27, 2017 at her home.

She was born on October 8, 1947 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Theodore and June Louella (Swan) Lundeen. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth Schools.

Sherry married Howard M. Chick on October 18, 1965 in Monmouth; he preceded her in death on October 27, 1998.

Sherry was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She also worked for a time at Monmouth Nursing Home in the laundry department. Sherry enjoyed playing bingo, making crafts, listening to music, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Surviving Sherry is her son, Rickie (Dina) Chick; two daughters, Stacey Chick, Tracey (Roberto) Cisneros all of Monmouth, IL; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters, Alice Goings of Shelbyville, MO, Hope Albert of Greenwell Springs, LA; her brother, Pete (Katie) Lundeen of Kewanee, IL, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, her grandson, Timothy Chick, seven sisters, and one brother.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Sherry Chick Memorial Fund.
