Sarah L. Schisler

Sarah L. Schisler, 82, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 1:16 a.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 at Seminary Manor, Galesburg.

She was born April 9, 1933 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Collie Garland and Madeline Mae (Miller) Coffman. She was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Sarah married Milo "Mike" Gray Pierson in Monmouth on September 5, 1951. She later married Charles "Shot" Franklin Schisler in Monmouth on July 27, 1961 and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2006.

Sarah worked at Formfit, Forman Book Bindery and Glastex Boat Factory all in Monmouth.

Survivors include her 3 daughters, Peggy Mettler and Michele (Gary) Wright both of Monmouth and Deanna Ralston of Galesburg; one son, Ken (Vicki) Pierson of Pekin, IL; one sister, Betty Hoskins of Galesburg, IL; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren;

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters; Mildred Carnes and Mary Forman.

Memorial Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 25, 3016 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Kirkwood. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Sarah Schisler Memorial Fund.
