Sandra R. Williams

Sandra Ruth "Sandi" Boettcher Williams, 62, of Gilson, IL died at 6:50 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2016 at the Rosewood Care Center, Galesburg, IL.

She was born April 30, 1954 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Ervin Boettcher and Evelyn (Palmer) Boettcher. She was raised and educated in Galesburg, graduating from Galesburg High School in 1974.

Sandi married Bryan L. Williams in Peoria, IL on May 18, 2001 and he survives.

Sandi worked as a waitress and bartender. Most recently she worked in the warehouse at Dick Blick in Galesburg.

She was of Christian Faith. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading, soap operas, taking pictures and she adored her cats.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Denise (Duane) Schoonover; 2 special nieces Tera Boettcher and Stacy Boettcher all of Galesburg; step children, Jonathon Williams and Kellie Williams; 2 grandchildren, Emily and Nicholas Schoonover; step granddaughter, Chelsea; 2 brothers, David (Teresa) Boettcher of Galesburg and Steve Boettcher of Texas; sister, Sue Parish of Galesburg; 2 nephews, Daniel Parish and Ryan Parish both of Galesburg, Craig Boettcher of Texas; several great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has been accorded. Graveside committal services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2016 at East Linwood Cemetery, Galesburg. Memorials may be sent to McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
