Rose Mary (Rosenbalm) Taylor

Rose Mary Taylor, 69, of Kirkwood, IL passed away at 8:40 am Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home.

Rose Mary was born November 10, 1951 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Arthur and Wilma (Cassiday) Rosenbalm.  She was raised and educated Kirkwood, IL graduating from Yorkwood High School in 1969.

Rose Mary married James L. Taylor at the Kirkwood United Methodist Church on November 15, 1969 and he survives.

Rose Mary was a self-employed beautician working at Bowman-Calwell and then at her own shop in Kirkwood.  She also worked as a cook for the Monmouth School District for many years before retiring.

She was a member of the Kirkwood United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed camping, crafting, yard sales, candy making, bowling, genealogy and going to flea markets.  But most of all, being with and raising her family was her true love.

Survivors include her husband, James Taylor of Kirkwood, IL; her children, Cindy (Jeffrey) Fues of Oregon, IL and Timothy Taylor of Gladstone, IL; 2 grandson, Christopher R. Taylor and Jeffrey J. Fues both of Oregon, IL; 4 great grandchildren, Christopher T. Taylor, Ryker Taylor, Wyatt Taylor and Lowie Hill-Fues; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 granddaughters, Morgan Taylor and Paige Taylor; her daughter in law, Stephanie Taylor; 2 sisters, Anna Waterman and Irene Neff; and her brother Ray Melvin Rosenbalm.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, October 15, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Cremation has been accorded.  Memorials may be given to the Rose Mary Taylor Memorial Fund.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
