Ronald "Ronnie" L. Lee

Ronald L. “Ronnie” Lee, 65, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 12:35 pm, Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at his home.

Ronnie was born December 11, 1952 in Monmouth, IL the son of Robert A. and Claudia (Walters) Lee.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School with the class of 1971.

He married Marie Graham on December 28, 1979 in Monmouth and she passed away on January 7, 2018.

Ronnie worked as a Foreman for Untied Facilities in Galesburg for 15 years and later in the maintenance department for Aramark at Monmouth College.

Ronnie enjoyed practicing and teaching martial arts at Pike’s Taekwondo from 1985-1997.  He also enjoyed wrestling, boxing and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his 4 children, Jami (Chris) Lunde of Badger, MN, Jeremy (Becki) Tinder of Cedar Rapids, IA, Derek (Angela) Lee of Monmouth, Jeff (Julie) Tinder of Springfield, IL, and; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelsey, Hannah, Cami, Jori, Lainey, Alex, Catherine, and Henry; his sister, Rose Haegle of Carmichael, CA; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; brothers, Mike, Terry and Bobby; his sister Roberta.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Friday, September 7, 2018 at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Ronald Lee Memorial Fund and left at the funeral home.
