Ronald A. "Ronnie" Dickason

Ronald A. "Ronnie" Dickason, 55, of Monmouth, passed away at 10:28 p.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

He was born on November 3, 1960 in Macomb, IL, the son of Harold E. and Wanda L. (Kalebaugh) Dickason. Ronnie was raised and educated in the Monmouth area, and he graduated from Warren High School in 1980.

Ronnie first worked as a farm hand for several years. He later worked at Munson Transportation in the trailer repair shop. Ronnie worked the last 19 years as a trailer mechanic at Sharkey Transportation in Galesburg. Ronnie loved racing, his 4 wheeler, and enjoyed dogs. He always was there to help his family and friends whenever he could, and Ronnie never knew a stranger.

Surviving Ronnie are two brothers; Bob (Sandy) Dickason of Monmouth, Larry (Nancy) Lashbrook of Rushville, IL, one sister, Joetta (Jess) Fisher of Galesburg, IL, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life and Potluck will be at 5:00p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at McMahons Pub, 634 South 1st St, Monmouth. Cremation rites have been accorded. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials can be made to the Ron Dickason Memorial Fund. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
