Rolland E. Brentise

Rolland E. Brentise, 79, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:17 pm, Monday, June 17, 2019 at Methodist Unity Point Hospital, Peoria, IL.

Rolland was born June 26, 1939 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Wilber “Bid” Skivers and Eva Brentise.  He was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1957.

Rolland served with the United State Air Force for 4 years from 1958-1962.

Rolland married Jacqueline Cox in Monmouth, IL, on March 2, 1963 and she survives.

He worked at Maytag for 32.5 years before retiring in 1996.

Rolland enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jacqueline Brentise of Monmouth, IL; one son, Rick (Debbie) Brentise of Ft. Worth, TX; 2 grandchildren, Crystal (Kyle) Brewer of Bushnell, IL and Rebecca (Tony) Presley of Abingdon, IL; and 6 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 21, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth with a private family interment at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth.  Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 am, Friday at the funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to the Jamison Center or WIAR.
