Robert "Bob" W. Loving

Robert W. Loving, 77, of Cameron, IL passed away at 6:50 am, Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his home.

Bob was born July 19, 1941 in Alexis, IL, the son of Earl “Whitey” and Grace (Harter) Loving.  He attended Aledo Schools.

Bob married Donna Wakeland in Aledo, IL on June 25, 1960.  He later married Connie Burns in Kirkwood, IL on March 31, 1979 and she survives.

He worked for the USDA Food Safety Inspection Services as well as owning and operating Loving Shoe Repair in Monmouth and Aledo.

He was a member of the Fairview Center United Methodist Church and the Knoxville Masonic Lodge.  Robert was an extremely talented woodcarver.

Survivors include his wife, Connie of Cameron, IL; his children, Anthony Loving of Belleville, IL, Amy (Jeff) McWhorter of Aledo, IL, Austin Loving of Cameron, IL, Amy Cokel of Cameron, IL and Melinda (Derek) Perry of Cameron, IL; his brothers, Donald Loving of Aledo, IL and Bill (Marsha) Loving of Aledo, IL; and his sister, Judy Loving of Monmouth, IL.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister in law, Barbara Loving and father in law, Edward Burns.

Memorial services with Masonic Rites will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Interment will be at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth.  Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to Fairview Center United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
