Paula J. (Logsdon) Johnson, 69, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at OSF St. Mary’s Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
She was born on August 14, 1952 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of John and Verna (Schultz) Logsdon. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth High School.
Paula married Larry A. Johnson in Raritan, IL on November 20, 1976 and he survives.
Paula worked at Western Stoneware for 20 years. She also assisted Paulet and Les Zedric at the Monmouth Sale Barn for several years. Paula also cared for Mrs. Sullivan.
She was a member of the Monmouth Eagles Club. She also enjoyed gardening, her flowers, feeding the birds, crossword books, painting and quilting. Her true love in life was having all her family around her and taking care of Larry.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Johnson of Monmouth, IL, her 2 sons, Chance Logsdon-Hunter of Smithshire, IL and John Johnson of Monmouth, IL; her daughter, Sarah (Arthur) Bigsby of Bushnell, IL; 9 grandchildren, Brittany, Kenny, Brendan, Ashley, Tamara, Chance, Collin, Zack, and Phoebe; 5 great grandchildren, Spencer, Bryson, Hunter, Rider, Aubrey and Tatum; her brothers, George Schultz of AR; 4 sisters, Pamela Logsdon, Peggy (Terry) Willett, Penny (Mark) Bell and Margaret Logsdon all of Monmouth, IL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brother, Little John Logsdon, Clifford Logsdon and Arlo Logsdon; and 1 sister, Bessie Martin.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 1:00-6:00 pm, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Monmouth American Legion. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Paula Johnson Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.
