Patricia A. Hines, 80, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 11:50 pm, Monday, October 18, 2021 at her home.
She was born June 28, 1941 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Glenn A. and B. Genevieve (Andrews) Holler. She was raised and educated in Macomb and Monmouth, graduating Monmouth High School in 1959. She later graduated from Carl Sandburg College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting.
Patty married Scott Hines in Monmouth, IL at the First United Methodist Church on November 20, 1960 and he survives.
She worked at the National Bank in Monmouth as a teller. She later worked at the Monmouth Review Atlas, Meling’s Restaurant as a bookkeeper and Jill’s Hallmark in Monmouth.
Patty was a member of the First Christian Church of Monmouth. Her main interest and joy in life was her family, attending the many functions of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also volunteered at her church library and food pantry.
Survivors include her husband, Scott Hines of Monmouth, her children Kathy (Will) Anderson of Monmouth, IL, Mike (Jaimee) Hines of Burlington, IA and Mark (Emiko) Hines of Tokyo, Japan; 8 grandchildren, Amy (Zach) Larson, Rebecca (Brock) Adolphson, Sarah Scott, Jesse (Miranda) Hines, Olivia Hines, Sydnee Hines, Mia Hines, and Emma Hines; 8 great grandchildren; her brother, Glenn Holler of St. Louis, MO; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Interment will be at Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Library at the First Christian Church of Monmouth.
