Patricia Ann (Simonson) Shepler

Patricia A. Shepler, 70, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 1:37 am, Monday, August 6, 2018 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg.

She was born January 5, 1948 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of Doran and Audrey (Meyers) Simonson.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth.

Patty married Harold Keith Shepler in Monmouth on February 22, 1980 and he survives.

Patty worked at Wells Pet Food in Monmouth, Carhardt in Galesburg, Methode in Carthage and Munson Trucking in Monmouth.

She enjoyed going to Keith’s races, collecting Bear figurines and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Keith Shepler of Monmouth; her sons, William James Wilson of Monmouth, Jack E. Wilson of Monmouth and Douglas L. Wilson of Galesburg; her daughter, Shana L. Wilson of Monmouth; 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Charles Simonson and Stanley Simonson both of Monmouth; 1 sister, Kaye Dowdy of West Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter Deeann Wilson; 2 sisters, Donna Desmond and Sue Mink.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, August 9, 2018 at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Cremation has been accorded.  A private family interment will take place at Monmouth Cemetery.  Memorials may be given to the Patricia A. Shepler Memorial Fund.
