Michael L. Ross

Michael L. Ross, 58, of Joy, IL, passed away at 3:14 a.m., Friday, October 26, 2018 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf, IA.

He was born on September 19, 1960 in Avon, IL, the son of Edgar L. and Grace (Griffitts) Ross.  Michael was raised and educated in Roseville, IL and graduated from Roseville High School in 1978.  He later graduated from Carl Sandburg College in 1989 after earning his degree in Business and Data Processing.

Michael worked for 11 years as a Quality Assurance Tech at National Seal Company in Galesburg, IL and 18 years at Musco Sports Lighting in Muscatine, IA.  He enjoyed guns, target shooting, hunting, reloading ammunition, and riding his 1983 Harley-Davidson.  Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving Michael are two sons, Joshua (Valarie) Ross of Bushnell, IL, Zachary Ross of Abingdon, IL and three grandchildren, Nicole Ross, Landon Ross, and Bryson Ross.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2018 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Interment will be in Roseville Memorial Park, Roseville, IL.  Memorials can be made to the Heritage Foundation.
