Michael H. Dean, 66, of Monmouth died suddenly at 3:18 P.M. Friday, June 7, 2013 at his home.
Michael was born September 16, 1946 in Galesburg, IL the son of James P. and Honora (Hayes) Dean. He was raised and educated in Monmouth graduating from Immaculate Conception School, Monmouth High School in 1964, Black Hawk College and Illinois State University.
Michael served with the United State Navy from 1969 to 1973.
He worked as a salesman for Kem Manufacturing for 25 years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and the Monmouth VFW Post #2301.
Survivors include his sister, Mary Krolicki of Farmington Hills, MI; his brother, Thomas (Sandra) Dean of Monmouth; brother in law, Emanule Leon of Sedona, AZ along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, James P. Dean and one sister, Tennessa Leon.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monmouth with Fr. Tim Hepner and Deacon Will Clark celebrating. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday after 3:00 P.M. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, Monmouth where his family will be present from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service beginning at 5:00 P.M. Memorials may be given to the Monmouth VFW/American Legion Color Guard. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, 309-734-6008 is in charge of the arrangements.
