Mary Ann (Anderson) Robinson

Mary Ann Robinson, 85, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 6:10 pm, Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.

Mary Ann was born October 24, 1935 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Robert & Dorothy Mae (Bennett) Anderson.  She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Monmouth High School in 1953.

Mary Ann married Arthur Utzinger.  She later married Donald Duane Mattson, he passed way in 1973.  Mary Ann married Cornell Elliott and he passed away 1976. She later married Ronald “Peck” Robinson in 1979 and he passed away in 2011.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening  and assisted her daughter, Jane at the flower shop for several years.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Mary Ann loved to travel and see the country.  She loved spending with her family where she was the family picture taker and was active in tracing her family’s genealogy. She was an avid Neil Diamond fan.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy (Lawrence) Burton and Jane (Carl) Switzer both of Monmouth, IL; 7 grandchildren, Christopher (Trish) Faudree, Richard (Megan) Burton, Chonna Burton, Duane Mattson, Mandy (Brian Feyerabend) Switzer, Jake (Tiffany) Switzer and Luke Switzer; 15 greatgrandchildren; 2 brothers, Dean (Sandy) Anderson and John Anderson both of Monmouth, IL; sister-in-law, Karen Anderson of Roseville, IL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands; one son, Rick Mattson; and one brother, Frank Anderson.

Cremation has been accorded. A private family interment has taken place at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Meks on Main, 201 N. Main Street, Monmouth, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021.
