Mary Lynn Fusch Harvey, 80 of Monmouth, IL passed away at 7:50 am, Sunday, March 27, 2022, at the Roseville Nursing Home, Roseville, IL.
Lynn was born January 11, 1942, in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Lawrence and Joan (Leins) Fusch. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Immaculate Conception School in 1956 and later Monmouth High School in 1960. She later attended Brown’s Business College in Galesburg, IL.
Lynn was a secretary for the State of Illinois at the Galesburg Mental Health Center from 1961-1985. She later worked at the Zeller Mental Health Center in Peoria, Il from 1985 until she retired in 1991.
She was a lifetime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Monmouth where she served on the Parish Council. She was also a member of the Bereavement Committee, Altar & Rosary Society and the Teens Encounter Christ Steering Committee. She was very active with Teens Encounter Christ, where she was the meeting secretary, kitchen assistant and presenting team member. She also assisted with presenting Team Cursillo. Lynn volunteered at ICS as a school secretary for 5 years and volunteered over 400 hours at Community Memorial Hospital in Monmouth.
In her younger years, Lynn enjoyed bowling and golfing. She was an avid pen collector and Notre Dame football fan. Lynn was a very social person and enjoyed visiting with friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Greenstreet of Monmouth, IL; her grandchildren, Rob Danes, Jessica Danes and Andrew (Emily) Danes; her niece Sandy Engnath-Holm and her son John David Engnath; her 2 nephews, Steve Harvey and Mark (Erik) Harvey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her uncle, Joe Leins and her aunt Louise Leins.
A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday, April 3, 2022, from 1:00-3:00 pm. at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth with a Rosary Service beginning at 1:00 pm Sunday. Cremation has been accorded with a private family interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be given to ICS and sent to the funeral home.
