Marvin G. Haase, 81, of Monmouth died at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Care Center of Abingdon.
He was born August 5, 1932 in Charlotte, Ill. the son of Fred G. and Gladys (Dennowitz) Haase.
Marvin married D. Joan Ray on April 19, 1950 in Monmouth, Ill, she survives.
Marvin had multiple income adventurers in his lifetime from delivering eggs, running a feed store to farming with his sons, he worked as a livestock order/buyer for the majority of his life, he retired in2006. He was a member at the First United Methodist Church in Monmouth. Marvin enjoyed reading Westerns, spending time with his family, and especially watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren's activities.
Survivors include his wife Joan Haase of Monmouth, 3 sons; Gregory Haase of Missouri, Jeff (Jeannie) Haase of Monmouth, and Brad Haase of Galesburg, Ill. Grandchildren; Anna (Alan) Haase of Monmouth, Mindy (Bobby) Townsley of Davenport, Ia., Justin Haase of Eagle Pass, Tx., Nicole (Tim) Hammond of Westlake, Ca., Scott Haase of Monmouth and Lara (Curt) Haas of Ft. Madison, Ia.. Also surviving are his great grandchildren; Braxton, Reese, Aurora, Athena, Larissa, Rowan,Trey, Caylla, and Khora. Brothers; Ivan (Paige) Haase of Florida, Irvin (Carol) Haase of Monmouth, IL, sisters Eunice Gaskill of Monmouth, IL , Florence McBroom of Chenoa, IL and sister-in-law Marilyn Haase of Monmouth,IL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marvin was preceded in death by his Parents and brothers; Larry, Francis, and Alfred Haase.
Cremation has been accorded. A private family interment in Warren County Memorial Park will take place at a later date. Memorials will be given to the Alzheimer's Association Illinois Chapter. Arrangements are being handled by McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, 309-734-6008.
