Marie C. Lee

Marie C. Lee, 66, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 12:12 p.m., Sunday, January 7, 2018 at her home in Monmouth.

Marie was born May 16, 1951 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of Howard and Catherine (Kane) Graham. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from ICS and later Monmouth High School in 1969.

Marie married Ronald Lee in Monmouth, IL on December 28, 1979 and he survives.

Marie worked as a waitress for over 20 years at Cerar’s Barnstormer but most recently she was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She loved her animals.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald of Monmouth; 4 children, Jeff (Julie) Tinder of Springfield, IL, Jeremy (Becki) Tinder of Cedar Rapids, IA, Derek (Angela) Lee of Monmouth and Jami (Chris) Lunde of Badger, MN; her grandchildren, Caitlin, Kelsey, Hannah, Cami, Jori, Lainey, Alex, Catherine, and Henry. Also surviving is her brother, David (Jenny) Graham of Solon, IA; her sister, Sara (Neil) Sharples of Steamboat Springs, CO; 2 nieces and 2 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and niece, Mary Clark.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00-7:00 pm Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Cremation has been accorded. Memorials may be given to the Marie Lee Memorial Fund and left at the funeral home.
