Lloyd A Bellinger

Lloyd A. Bellinger, 86, of Little York, IL passed away at 4:14 pm, Monday, January 17 2022, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.

Lloyd was born March 6, 1935, in rural Little York, IL the son of Alvin Lloyd and Mary Pearl (Freeman) Bellinger.  He was raised and educated near Little York, attending local schools in Little York.

Lloyd married Patricia Ann Hogan on November 20, 1954, in Little York and she died March 22, 1978.  He later married Sharon L. “Sheri” Krusmark on August 13, 1979, in Las Vegas, NV and she passed away on December 15, 2008.

Lloyd owned and operated Bellinger Trucking and Excavating in Little York for over 50 years.  He was a lifetime member of the Local 150 Operating Engineers.  He also served on the Village of Little York Board of Trustees for 30 years.

He enjoyed going to flea markets and auctions.  He also enjoyed watching Western movies and pulling antique tractors.

Survivors include two daughters, Tia R. (Mike) Walters of Kirkwood, IL  and Diana (Jerry) Rupe of Little York: four sons, Dana Fuller of Monmouth, Todd D. (Alecia) Cosgrove of Poulsbo, WA, Terry (Shelley) Bellinger of Gladstone, IL, Wesley (Nikki) Bellinger of Monmouth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, 4 sisters, Louise E. (Don) Greer of Adair, IL, Linda A. (Dick) Thomas of Mansfield, MO, Laura E. (Trevor) Davies of Little York, IL; and Lillian S. Gottler of  Coeur d’Alene, ID; numerous nieces and nephews; and loyal companion Gravy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, both wives, 2 sons, David Bellinger and Lloyd E. Bellinger: his brother, Larry C. Bellinger.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 2:00-4:00 pm on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Cremation has been accorded.  Memorials may be given to the Little York CPEF and sent to the funeral home.
