Larry R. McMahon, 68, of Monmouth, IL died at 3:45 P.M. Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Care Center of Abingdon, Abingdon, IL

Larry was born on October 20, 1946 in Monmouth. He is the son of Lawrence Earl and Helen Marie Allen McMahon.

He was raised and educated in Monmouth; he graduated from Monmouth High School and later from Illinois State University in Normal, IL.

Larry worked at the Nestle-Beich Company in Bloomington, IL for several years.

Larry was a history buff and enjoyed the circus.

He is survived by his daughter Monica McMahon, son Christopher McMahon, brothers; John McMahon of Monmouth, Michael (Linda) McMahon of Monmouth, sister Mary McMahon of Macomb, IL, friend and caregiver Teresa (Craig) Armstrong of Monmouth, and friend Lucille Hanna of Gerlaw, IL.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 24, 2014 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. Friends may call prior to the service from 9:30-10:00 a.m. Memorials can be made to the Care Center of Abingdon.
