Kevin L. Strange

Kevin L. Strange, 37, of East Galesburg, IL, passed away at 4:32 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2016 at his home.

He was born on July 15, 1978 in Monmouth, the son of Jeffrey Dean Strange, Sr. and Vickie Lynn Teel. Kevin was raised by his grandparents Bill and Marilyn Strange. He was raised and educated in Monmouth and attended Monmouth High School.

Kevin married Holly Spry in Beaver, OK on June 22, 1996.

Kevin was a truck driver for Hi Plains Hull of Perryton, TX. He also drove for Schlumberger Trucking. Kevin enjoyed working on cars, riding motorcycles, driving fast, bass
fishing; he loved NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon. He was a New England Patriots and Texas Longhorns fan. Most of all, Kevin loved spending time with his children.

Kevin is survived by his children; Tyson, Alex, and Baylee Strange all of Monmouth, his mother Vickie (Teel) Wilcox of Pampa, TX, step mother Diana Lee of Stronghurst, IL, two sisters; Krissy Ramming (Stacey) of Pampa, TX, Jacque McGraw of Monmouth, four brothers; Jeffrey Dean Strange, Jr. of Pampa, TX, Brian Keith Strange of Pampa, TX, Justin William Strange of Stronghurst, IL, and Nathan Joel Strange of Galesburg, IL. Also surviving is his aunt, Missy (Butch) Engle of Monmouth, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and former wife Holly Spry of Monmouth.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal and Maternal grandparents, his father, step father Marlon Wilcox, four aunts and two uncles.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, July 7, 2016 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory Monmouth. Cremation rites will be accorded following the gathering. Memorials can be made to the Kevin Strange Memorial Fund.
