Kevin P. Lease

Kevin P. Lease, 66, of Monmouth, IL, passed away on Tuesday morning, January 25, 2022 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL, surrounded by his family and friends at the time of his passing.

Kevin was born on September 27, 1955 in Monmouth, IL, to William C. and Louise (Greenstreet) Lease. He married Melissa Dunn in October of 1984 and they were together for 16 years.

Kevin worked for the IL Dept. of Transportation for 17 years, later working as a Business Agent for Teamsters Local 627.  He also worked as a Purchasing Agent for 14 years at Envision Boats.

He had a lifelong love for motorcycles, motorsports, and the Mississippi River. Most of all Kevin loved his family, children, and very special grandchildren that he considered his true source of life.

Kevin is survived by his children, William Logan & Brittny (Mizner) Lease, Alison (Lease) Aldrich, Tiffany (Ruse) Jackson, Dan & Sunita (Modani) Ruse, Carrie (Scott) Leath; grandchildren, William Carter Lease; Noah, Johan & Isaiah Aldrich; Boston, Jaxon & Laike Law; Rohan & Keshav Ruse. He is also survived by his very special friend, Myra Bell, who he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his father (William), mother (Louise), sister (Linda), and sister (Missy).

A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 p.m., Saturday January 29, 2022 at the Monmouth American Legion.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 136 - Nursing Scholarship Fund.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, is in charge of the arrangements.
