KaLee N. Pringle

KaLee N. Pringle, 17, of Galesburg, IL, formerly of Monmouth, passed away at 7:25 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 in Galesburg. She was born April 29, 1998 in Galesburg, IL the daughter of Bub and Marta (Toops) Pringle. She was raised and educated in Monmouth and Galesburg. She was currently a senior at Galesburg High School and was recently inducted into the National Honor Society. KaLee currently worked for the Galesburg Park and Recreation Department in the concessions and admissions areas. She loved horseback riding where she volunteered at Rainbow Riders in Monmouth. She also volunteered with Big Brothers & Sisters. KaLee enjoyed surfing and roller skating, where she competed on a competitive skating team. She loved music, singing and assisting Greg Norris with putting on Band shows. KaLee attended the First United Methodist Church in Galesburg. Survivors include her mother, Marta (Greg Norris) Toops of Galesburg; her father, Bub (Beverly) Pringle of Strawberry Plains, TN; sisters, Miranda (Tokunbo Pillot) Toops of Chicago, IL, Hollie Peters and Lauren Peters both of Knoxville, TN; brother, Carson Peters of Knoxville, TN; Grandparents, Verna Toops of Monmouth, Gary & Shirley Pringle of Galesburg and Richard & Phyllis Norris of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Thomas Toops and brother, Blake Pringle. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Interment will be in Monmouth Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 20015 at the McGuire & Davies Funeral Home, where her family will be present from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the KaLee N. Pringle Memorial Fund, which will establish a scholarship in KaLee’s name for any student from Monmouth-Roseville High School or Galesburg High School pursuing a degree in Law Enforcement.
