Justin P. Dell

Justin P. Dell, 16, of Alexis, IL, passed away at 12:05 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Cottage Hospital, Galesburg.

He was born October 25, 2001 in Silvis, IL, the son of Patrick and Amy (Cox) Dell. He was raised and educated in Alexis, IL and was currently a sophomore at United High School.

Justin worked in the summers at Monsanto in Monmouth. He was a member of the Norwood Presbyterian Church, Boy Scouts, participated in the IMEA Band Competition playing trombone, participated in Monmouth College for Kids and the HOBY program. Justin played 2nd base on the United High School Baseball team; he was on the Honor Roll and loved learning. He volunteered at Rainbow Riders, enjoyed anime, and was an avid animal lover and wanted to be a veterinarian. Justin planned on joining the Military after High School.

Surviving Justin are his parents of Alexis, IL; two sisters, Jessika Dell of Alexis, Ashley (Sean Noonan) Dell of Bettendorf, IA; and one brother, Trystan Dell of Alexis, IL. Also surviving are three aunts, Elizabeth (Dennis) Cox of Kirkwood, IL, Rose (Mike) Lax of Silvis, IL, Jamie (Dan) Linhart of Davenport, IA; two uncles, Ed (Lisa) Cox of Moline, IL, Bill (Becky) Dell of Davenport, IA, and several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Barbara & Terry Cox, and paternal grandparents, Ernest & Virginia Dell; one uncle, Ernest Dell, Jr., and cousin, Andrew Dulaney.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at United Sr. High School, 1905 100th St, Monmouth, IL. Interment will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline, IL. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2018 at United Sr. High School. Memorials can be made to the Justin P. Dell Memorial Fund. McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, is in charge of the arrangements.
