Joyce E. Manuel

Joyce E. Manuel, 77, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:20 p.m., Sunday August 18, 2019 at Aperion Care Center, Galesburg, IL.

She was born on October 26, 1941 in Hoylton, IL, the daughter of George and Kathryn (Linnemann) Linze.  Joyce was raised and educated in Southern Illinois.

Joyce married John Manuel in Monmouth, IL on November 6, 1959 and he passed away on February 7, 2009.

Joyce worked as a waitress and cleaned homes in the area for over 45 years.  She was a member of the Kirkwood United Methodist Church.  Joyce’s main interest was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren; they were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Steve) Lee of Monmouth; one son, Ron (Deb) Manuel of Monmouth; grandchildren, Chad Manuel of Los Angeles, CA, Melissa Wiegand of Yakima, WA, and Justin Lee of Monmouth; three great grandchildren, Izabella Wiegand of Clarksville, TN, Gunner Wiegand and Margot Wiegand both of Yakima, WA ;  her sister, Deloris Jacobs of South Carolina; 3 brothers, George “Bud” (Kaye) Linze of OK, Jim (Cel) Linze of AR and Gary (Rose) Linze of IL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; one sister, Anne Logue and 3 brothers, Carl Linze, Richard Linze and Norman Linze.

Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth, IL.  No visitation hours are planned.  Memorials can be made to the Monmouth Park District or Western IL Animal Rescue (WIAR).  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
