Jeffrey O. Davis

Jeffrey O. Davis, 60 of Oquawka, IL passed away at 10:08 am, Thursday, July 9, 2020 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

Jeff was born February 28, 1960 in Aledo, IL the son of Robert L. and Janice L. (Jones) Davis Sr.  He was raised and educated in Henderson County, graduating from Union High School in 1978.

Jeff worked as a tree trimmer beginning with Rozetta Tree Service and Asplundh Tree Service and later owning and operating Davis Tree Service until he retired. Jeff enjoyed playing the guitar, banjo and harmonica, drinking Budweiser and joking around. He was known for his sense of humor.

Survivors include his son Michael (Brittany) Davis of Monmouth; his daughter, Jessi (Kenny) McKee of Oquawka, IL; brother, Robert L. (Heather) Davis, Jr. of Oquawka, IL; 3 grandchildren, Bryer McKee, Khloe McKee and Ridge McKee; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Boyd.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm. Friday, July 17, 2020 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL.  Cremation has been accorded.  Memorials may be given to Jeffrey O. Davis Memorial Fund.
