Janet E. Waller

Janet E. Waller, age 74, of Monmouth, passed away at 2:56 a.m., Friday, November 8, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

She was born December 21, 1938 in Little York, IL, the daughter of Harry Melvin and Beatrice Louise (Thompson) Scott. Janet was raised and educated in Warren County and attended Monmouth High School.

Janet married David Gordon Waller in Monmouth.

She worked at Formfit-Rogers in Monmouth, and then Janet worked at the Smolers for a time, she also worked at the Glastex boat factory in Monmouth and finally she worked at Maytag in Galesburg, Ill. as an inspector for 25 years before retiring in 2001. Janet enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts and making gifts for her family and friends.

Janet is survived by three sons, Rodney (Denise) Waller of Roseville, IL., Randy (Claudene) Waller of Anderson, IN., Marty (Lisa) Waller of Martinsville, IN., one daughter Barbara (Gaudencio) Garcia of Corona, CA., twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, two brothers Jim (Connie) Scott of Gerlaw, IL, Michael (Debbie) Scott of Roseville, IL, two sisters Karen (Frank) Anderson of Roseville, IL., Debbie (John) Denekas of Dyersville, IA., one sister-in-law Kathy Scott of Gladstone, IL, and one brother-in-law Stanley Bridge of Lincoln, IL. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Brenda L. Waller, one brother Lowell Scott, and one sister Marilyn Bridge.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 14, 2013 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory in Monmouth. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Friends may call Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory where her family will be present from 5:30 A� 7:30 p.m. A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
