James N Heap

James N. Heap, 92, of Monmouth, IL, died at 8:38 pm Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home.

He was born on January 30, 1925 in Media, IL, the son of Perry Oliver and Mary Elizabeth (Sullivan) Heap. James was raised and educated in Media and graduated from Media High School.

James served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II.

He married Imogene Boone on June 15, 1947 in Dallas City, IL.

James farmed in the Media area. James enjoyed trains, spending time with his family and animals, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Surviving James are his children, Lonne (Lisa) Heap of Monmouth, Janis (Jim) Ford of Burlington, IA, one brother, Ben Heap of Media, IL, three grandchildren; Jennifer Heap, Shana Billeter, Chad Heap, and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one son, James Eugene Heap.

A private family graveside committal with military honors will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Media, IL. McGuire and Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth is in charge of the arrangements.
