Gerald "Jerry" A Olson

Gerald A. “Jerry” Olson, 74, of Monmouth, IL passed February 17, 2023 at his home.

Jerry was born May 28, 1948 in Monmouth, IL the son of Einar Clarence and Ruth Lucile (Anderson) Olson.  He was raised and educated in Alexis, graduating from Alexis High School in 1966.

Jerry was a prison guard for the Illinois Department of Correction in Pontiac, IL.

Jerry enjoyed fishing, hunting, training coon dogs, woodworking and riding his bicycle.

Survivors include his sister, Sally (George) Hinton of Kirkwood, IL 2 brothers, Marvin (Gwen) Olson and Robert (Sheri) Olson both the Dallas, TX area; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Olson.
