Erica Conchas

Erica Conchas, 32, of Monmouth, passed away at 10:10 a.m., Saturday, December 10, 2016 at her home.

She was born on September 16, 1984 in Mexico, the daughter of Rafael and Ofelia (Garcia) Negrete. Erica was raised and educated in Monmouth, and graduated from Monmouth High School. She then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Monmouth College graduating in 2007.

Erica married Juan Conchas in Monmouth, IL, he survives.

Erica first worked at Shopko in Monmouth while she was in high school. After graduating from Monmouth College she started a Mexican grocery and restaurant for her parents in Davenport, IA. She then returned to Monmouth and worked the last 5 years at Wells Fargo Bank in Monmouth as a personal banker.

Erica was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She loved to spend time with her family and friends, most of all her children.

She is survived by her husband Juan Conchas of Monmouth, two sons; Aldo and Maks Conchas of Monmouth, her parents Rafael and Ofelia Negrete of Davenport, IA, and two sisters; Angelica and Jessica Negrete of Davenport, IA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2016 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Memorials can be made to the Conchas Children Education Fund.
