Ellen L. Bankus

Ellen L. Bankus, 94, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center of Monmouth.

Ellen was born on October 1, 1925 in the Philippines.

She married Richard Bankus and they later divorced.

She worked as a civilian secretary for the United States Navy. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a frequent winner at the Monmouth Nursing Home. She also enjoyed painting and was devoted to her beloved dog Cody.

Cremation rites have been accorded. No visitation or services are planned at this time.
