Dorothy J. Livingston

Dorothy J. Livingston, 76, of Monmouth, passed away at 8:17 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

She was born February 26, 1939 in Monmouth, IL the daughter of William Clarence "W.C." and Leota (Harvey) McKee. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, graduating from Kirkwood High School in 1957.

Dorothy married Edward Livingston at the First Christian Church in Monmouth on June 5, 1957 and he survives.

Dorothy worked as a secretary for the University of Illinois Extension office in Monmouth for 32 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Monmouth and loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Livingston of Monmouth; sons, David Livingston of Charleston, SC and Bradly (Shelley) Livingston of Galesburg, IL; grandchildren, Zachary and Nicholas Livingston both of Charleston, SC and Olivia and Lauren Livingston both of Galesburg, IL; great grandchildren, Colby and Baley Livingston of Charleston, SC; her sister, Lucille Fisher of Elsberry, MO; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Ashley Livingston; sisters, Carlene McKee and Jeannie Kennedy; brothers, Jack McKee, James McKee and B.D. McKee.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory with interment at Warren County Memorial Park following the services. Cremation has been accorded. Visitation will be prior to the services Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church of Monmouth.
