Cheryl A. Taghon

Cheryl A. Taghon, 58, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:04 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL.

She was born on September 9, 1959 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Fred D. Sr., and Rita D. (Slater) Hart. Cheryl was raised and educated in the Montrose, IA area.

Cheryl worked in the housekeeping services in several area hospitals and nursing homes. She worked as a press operator for a time at the Daily Review Atlas in Monmouth. Cheryl also worked in the kitchen at several area restaurants. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and going camping.

Surviving Cheryl are her two daughters, Holly (Jason) Grover of Monmouth, IL, Carrie (Robert) Pinkey of Montrose, IA; three grandchildren; three brothers, David Hart of Chiefland, FL, Fred Jr. (Lois) Hart of Cuba, IL, Alan (Maria) Hart of Homosassa, FL; two sisters, Terrill Walter of Chiefland, FL, Diane (Rick) Roberts of Luray, MO; and special friend, Dennis Knuth of Monmouth, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
