Charles E. “Chuck” Kinzer, 74, of Monmouth, IL passed away at 9:14 pm, Monday, February 18, 2019 at the Roseville Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Roseville, IL.
He was born April 27, 1944 in Canton, IL the son of Eldon and Marie (Hartley) Kinzer. Chuck was raised and educated in London Mills, IL.
Chuck married Lois M. Losey on February 21, 1966 in Keosauqua, IA.
Chuck first worked for Johnny Lester at the Shell Gas Station in Monmouth. He then worked at the Brass Factory in Abingdon. Chuck also was a roll clamp driver for Alton Box and later Jefferson-Smurfit in Galesburg, and later Crop Production Service before retiring in 2009. Chuck attended the First Christian Church in Monmouth. He enjoyed NASCAR, camping and teasing his family and friends.
Survivors include his daughter, Tina Kinzer Fell and son Kyle (Kelli) Kinzer both of Monmouth; grandson, Codie Winbigler of Monmouth; brother, Ray Kinzer of Abingdon, IL; 2 sisters, Norma Nesbit of Galesburg and Delores (Eddie) Brentise of Monmouth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Ryan Fell, and former wife, Lois Kinzer.
Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family interment in Abingdon Cemetery will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Roseville Rehab and Healthcare or Western Illinois Animal Rescue.
