Cecil "C-Mac" Albert

Cecil "C-Mac" Albert, 92, of Monmouth died at 9:54 a.m. Monday, August 24, 2015 at his home.

He was born May 15, 1923 in Greenbush, IL the son of Ernest Warren and Ruth Isabel (McMillan) Albert. He was raised and educated in Roseville.

Cecil married Elizabeth "Libby" Jane Ludington in Kirkwood, IL on Nov. 18, 1945 and she died Nov. 2, 1998.

Cecil worked for Wells Pet Food, area farmers as a laborer, and then the Post Office where he delivered mail bags to the local towns. He helped in the construction of the roller rink in Monmouth. He later owned and operated Cecil Albert Trucking for over 50 years before retiring in 2003. Cecil worked hard his entire life to provide for his family.

He was a member of the Monmouth Eagles Club and the First Christian Church. He was an avid Cubs fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards and being around his large family.

Survivors include his 12 children, Terry (Donna) Albert of Rock Island, IL, Cecil Dwayne (Angie) Albert of Maryland, Linda Barker of Monmouth, Barbara (Terry) Johnson of MO, Debbie Teel of Monmouth, Diane (Randy) Brown of Monmouth, Judy Richardson of Monmouth, Pat (Don) Kindhart of Good Hope, IL, Thomas (Christina) Albert of LA, James (Donna) Albert of Monmouth, John (Sherry) Albert of MO and Steve Albert of Monmouth; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister in law, Gladys Albert of Monmouth.

He was preceded by his parents, wife, son, Marshall W. Albert; 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth. Burial will be in Warren County Memorial Park, Monmouth. Friends may call Friday at the funeral home where his family will be present from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association or the Cecil Albert Memorial Fund.
