Cathy L (Howell) Barker

Cathy L. (Howell) Barker, 64, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 10:35 pm, Friday, May 25, 2018 at her home.

Cathy was born April 27, 1954 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of James Huss and Betty (Howell) Vancil. She was raised and educated in Monmouth, attending Monmouth Schools.

Cathy married Gerald Barker in Nashville, TN on March 28, 1987 and he passed away May 5, 2018.

Cathy was a bartender most of her life working at Market Alley Bar, Sweetwater, J & J Tap along with working at the Phillip Fast Break in Oquawka.

She was a NASCAR fan and loved to play Bingo and watch her game shows.  Her cats were her life.

Survivors include her sister, Roxanna (Michael) Manes of Oquawka, IL; 2 brothers, Gerry Montgomery and Randall Montgomery both of Monmouth; 2 aunts and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Memorials may be given to the Cathy Barker Memorial Fund c/o McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, 1007 N. G. St. Box 444, Monmouth, Il.
