Carol D. Blake, 74, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 6:57 p.m., Monday, September 13, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL.
She was born on January 28, 1947 in Monmouth, IL, the daughter of John Franklin and Ethel Mae (Gilbert) Young. Carol was raised and educated in Monmouth and graduated from Monmouth High School.
Carol married Richard Rosiere they later divorced. She later married Fred Blake and they divorced. Carol has been with her significant other, Randy Saul for over 30 years; he survives.
Carol worked at several area businesses including, Barnes Grocery, Monmouth Pottery, Wilson Foods, Envision Boats, and the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant. She enjoyed crafting.
Surviving Carol is her significant other, Randy Saul of Monmouth, IL; her children. Travis (Betty) Rosiere of Monmouth, IL, Shawn Blake of Galesburg, IL, Dustin Saul of Monmouth, IL; her grandchildren, Johnathan Rosiere, Jonas Rosiere, Hunter Johnson; her great grandchildren, Keenan John, Willow Rosiere, Nolan Rosiere.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, John Young.
A gathering of family and friends will be 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, September 20, 2021 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Carol Blake Memorial Fund.
