Bonnie Sue (Ryan) Lockhart

Bonnie S. Lockhart, 77, of Monmouth, formerly of Galesburg, IL, passed away at 12:34 a.m., Sunday, October 18, 2020 at Monmouth Nursing Home, Monmouth, IL.

She was born August 10, 1943 in Burlington, IA, the daughter of Orval L. and Helen E. (Johnson) Ryan. Bonnie was raised and educated in Stronghurst, IL, and graduated from Stronghurst High School in 1961.

Bonnie married Vernon Utsinger in Stronghurst, IL in 1962 and they later divorced. She then married Tom Lockhart in Knoxville, IL in 1983 and he preceded her in death in 1999.

Bonnie worked at the Galesburg cable TV office, Protexall, Galesburg Sewing Center, and had a small quilt shop.  Bonnie was a creative spirit, she enjoyed sewing and painting in her free time.

Surviving Bonnie is her daughter, Brenda Marsh of Texas; her grandchildren, Holly, Bryan, Alexandria, Noah, Jennifer, and Katie.  Also surviving are eight great grandchildren; one brother, Jon Ryan; three sisters, April Williams, Penny Vaughn, Connie Harris; daughter-in-law, Trish Utsinger; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son Brian “Kirk” Utsinger.

Cremation rites have been accorded. There are no services or visitation planned at this time. Memorials may be made to the Bonnie Lockhart Memorial Fund.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, are in charge of the arrangements.
